I never said there were no young familes there. My comments were specific to the 3 communities they mentioned and I tried to point them toward others that seem more family friendly up in 92011. I know plenty of young families up there and just sold a house to clients fitting that exact description in that area. I explained my feelings to them and let them know the differences. They were OK with it and made the choice with eyes wide open. While there are many there, I know for a fact there are more down here and that was what I was expressing. It was not meant to slight your neighborhood but rather to get them to open their eyes up to a reality they were not aware of. You live in a fabulous place and have every reason to be proud of it also. Sorry if slighted it. That was not what I was trying to achieve.sdr

Yes both areas are beautiful and are sought after for different reasons … after a point it becomes highly subjective to what buyer prefers. I still remember when we first started checking out all 4 zipcodes of Carlsbad and driving every weekend to checkout open houses. I think it was the Resort like feel of Avaiar that sdrealtor is talking about … it got “sold” to us without any realtor marketing it.
About the premium of 92011 vs 92009 or parts of 92009 … we are actually splitting the hairs. We can keep on drilling down from ‘parts-of-92009’ to ‘streets-of-parts-of-92009’ and so on.January 15, 2011 at 8:24 AM #654373researcher9Participantsdrealtor & yogamom,
