I have an online store, and used to get a few Nigerian scam e-mails every month. They would ask if they could buy thousands of dollars worth of product on a credit card, and out of the goodness of their heart, add another grand over the sales price. I’ve since added a note to my payment info page that says “we reserve the right to decline credit card orders from countries (Nigeria, for example) which encourage widespread credit card fraud.”
