February 2, 2010 at 9:29 PM #508433scaredyclassicParticipantgosh darn, i read through some threads there and remember some “get rich quick” real estate books i’ve read over the years. the tone there over the last few years makes me feel like an uber-sissy for being so conservative about an extra 50 or 100 grand. Pffft. why worry. on to the next deal.

February 2, 2010 at 11:46 PM #508458briansd1GuestThanks of the link. The comments were entertaining.
The Fort Myers house he bought for $315k is probably worth about $150k now. I’ve been to Fort Myers several times in the last year and I know first hand.
Now, the problem with Fort Myers is that there are no jobs. White folks from other parts of country fled there looking for a “wholesome” lifestyle, the beach, sunshine and real estate riches.
People are still regurgitating the arguments of the bubble, I’m afraid.
