If you root your phone, then yes, Android is most preferred. Have you used the file manager on windows 10? How do you know Android is more extensive?

It’s not only that. I’m assuming that Windows 10 phone will still have the asinine limits on sideloading and unsigned apps. Paternalism makes me want to punch the people making the rules in the teeth.

I want freedom versus ease of use.

Luckily, we now have 3 choices. Choices are good. Obviously, Android is right for you. 99% other users are not like you. A lot of them don’t even know to turn on WiFi, much less rooting.

As long as we keep those choices, rather than the market killing choices that don’t cater to the lowest blithering idiot common denominator. (Witness the lack of availability of many cars with a real transmission in 2015.)

Hate it hate it hate it… and that is from a guy who uses dozens of different handsets and OS a year.

Made my Nexus 7 slow as molasses… Even after a full cache wipe…

Doesn’t work well with the latest classes of phones too…

The really crapped the bed on this…

BTW, the official word from Google is, L has a min memory requirement of 768mb. So, if you have a low end phones with 512mb, no upgrades for you.

Now my Samsung Galaxy 5 will no longer accept a generic charger, seems to insist on genuine Samsung,kinda reminds me of Motorola trying to sell more shit.

You don’t need a special charger. You just need the pseudo-special USB cable. I thought that was no longer the case for some time though.
