$250K/year is more than I make, so I say tax the hell out of that bracket. I just sent a letter to Feinstein in support of raising taxes on singles or couples making more than $250K/year. Everyone needs to pay their fair share.
That's ok. Losers like you won't be able to afford a house good economic times, bad economic times, high taxes, low taxes. Because you lack the ability and the no-how to save and/or make money, and weep because you think life is unfair and want a marxist government to shake things up to compensate you for your incompetance. Not that I have anything against renters. There are a lot of renters that are smart and renting for economic reasons. There are a lot of those that are renting because their dollars don't stretch that far and admit it, but truely are waiting for opportunities and are pretty smart with money too. Unfortunately, you don't seem to fit into either one of those categories, though you try to do a pretty good job wearing that sheep coat of yours to try to blend in.
And lastly, there are renters for which you fit perfectly into….that bitch about how wronged they are, frickin jealous of everyone else who either make more than you and have more than you or live better than you, who's only sense of "justice" or way to "feel better about yourself" is seeomg everyone else is dragged in the rough mud and crap that pervades in your own life only to be disappointed and disgusted if it doesn't happen. ..which more than likely will be the case, because you obviously are a frickin idiot and can't do better than others financially, yet you are willing to blow several thousands of dollars on useless shit during Memorial Day weekend rather than saving up for that house that you bitch you can't afford, just as an example. LOL, I know how this one will end.

June 8, 2008 at 9:40 PM #219758ArtyParticipantIf you are making 250k a year, you are rich enough (the key word is enough), and you should be taxed accordingly. Also, for those saying 250k is not a lot in San Diego, are you out of your mind? Then how does those people work in retail shops and fast food restaurants live with only 30k max (the adjustment on where you live is not as big as you thought). Btw, Warren Buffet the richest man in the US want the tax cut to be gone, too. Personally, I am all in favor of high taxation because if you haven’t realized that the greatest time in the US history are all under extremely high taxation. Oh forgot to mention, for those who are in favor of keeping the tax cut, it is fine by me because it is in my family’s favor.

June 8, 2008 at 9:42 PM #219761toddtParticipantBreeze – this is where your emotions get the best of you and you go into your pschizo double-posts…
You’re only stated reason for raising taxes on those who make more than 250k is because it’s more than you make. There has to be a more elegant argument you can make here. If not, then stop trying.
Maybe to stimulate your thinking, here’s mine… A progressive income tax tied to cost of living by MSA. This is not what we have. Our current tax system does not accomodate cost of living indices in the slightest, even at the state level. It leaves folks making 250k in CA at a much lower, albeit better than middle-class, standard of living than 250k earners in TX. The 250k number is arbitrary, and this same school of thought holds true at all income levels. Even yours. This is why you should expand your thinking on this.
