couldn’t agree more about the toys factor. the space though is nice. Raising boys and hoping to live vicariously through them someday when they become pro athletes means many a nite of playing football, hockey, baseball, and of course thier favorite, tackle dad and/or pony rides in any of the rooms throughout the home. My oldest toddler blows off most all toys but will putt his ping pong balls all over the house for hours using the putter, hockey stick or baseball bat. Again, just having room and space is nice.
Yes it is the interaction that is the most important thing, not the quality of the toy. Besides I can gaurantee that pretty much any toy presented to my two boys will be broken inside a week.
5yes I will go easy on you and not bed bash although I definitely disagree…

FYI, not a fan of a 16 year old kid sharing the family bed, both boys now sleep in their own rooms but as tiny infants it pained me too much to see them crying alone in their cribs.
Now I am off topic but the kids are so fun, love them, and I wish the original poster much joy with their upcoming baby.
I guess I should go try spending some of that quality time with the kids that everyone is talking about:)

November 20, 2007 at 4:54 PM #102034nostradamusParticipant5yes your post cracked me up and is right: I know for a fact that if I had children my mother and my 12 siblings will be sending truckloads. I live alone and already I get a room full of kitsch every holiday. I think college money is the best gift idea ever! Gotta send some for my niece now.
I also heartily accept SDR’s viewpoint although it is different than mine. I don’t have children but will one day and I can already see that my ideas for raising children are radically different than those of most people I know.
