What if 3 days a week you just spent a buck a person on food? 30 percent inflation wouldn’t be noticeable compared to if you were spend 15 a day per person.
We’ve got food insecurity and obesity both widespread.
Clearly change is required.

Why don’t you propose it to struggling families and see what they think?
You may have stumbled upon a fine solution that they have not considered?
You see it is pretty easy to sit in front of your tube writing such thoughts. However I find it hard to believe you would look a poor person in the eye and say such words.

Is it deprivation?
Maybe. But burgers and crap snacksand the Misc crap I see in peoples shopping carts doesn’t look like improved quality of life.
Would I tell a broke dude to spend less on food and ride a bike? Uh yeah. He’ll I do it myself. Seems like perceived “deprivation” is a lot different than starvation.
Wants v needs.
We talk about it all the tome in ghe family. I’d share the ideas w someone who is struggling. There is no shame in going cheap.
