Just remember, idiot SUV owners. This “to hell with you” attitude goes both ways. You’ve demonstrated your disregard for your fellow motorists and the environment by purchasing and driving an SUV. And you may feel safe when you’re cruising at reckless speeds in traffic and looking down on everyone. However, when you lose control, roll several times, and your SUV ends up on its top, don’t be surprised if us Prious owners just drive right by.
To hell with me? No, to hell with you.

I drive a new suv (paid cash) and use every inch of it, put about 10k miles a year on it, am very calculating about running errands and making useless trips, am a republican and a member of the surfrider foundation. I am not motivated by the cost savings as much as being as green as I can be. I wash it at the drive though car wash because the water is recycled and doesn’t drain into the storm drain and run off into our beaches.
My neighbor, drives a small car, thinks he is a do gooder for it, likes to give me shit about gas prices, thinks nothing of driving to get a coke at ampm when the mood strikes or a starsucks etc. His commute is less than mine yet drives about 17k miles a year. Likes to wash his car himself in the driveway using tire cleaner and way too much soap. When I point out were the water and chemicals go, he says he will stop washing his car himself when I sell my SUV.
My other neighbor is lucky to be alive after he was hit broadside by a truck that ran a red light. Thank god for he was in an suv. I won’t mention the nationality of the truck driver, only that he was uninsured.
My other neighbors, have a prius and an old camary, they are the nicest people I know, and are republicans.

Secondly, as I have mentioned before, Ford makes a diesel station wagon, we owned one in europe, that Cheney will not allow to be sold here in the US because it is “too dirty”. It gets fabulous diesel mileage, is sporty enough to zoom on the autobahn and is very clean.
Volkswagon has diesel Passats waiting at the port to be delivered. Cheney once again is blocking these fuel efficient cars.
I suppose these cars can’t be kept at the port forever. You SUV drivers will never sell your buckets once Cheney allows us to buy them (BTW there is no “free market” with weirdos like Cheney running our government).
Cheney knows these fuel efficient cars will soon get in, of course, that is why he keeps diesel much more expensive than regular gas. So that we all do not rush to buy them.
