ParticipantWe only hire a cleaning service to come out once every year or two to do the really deep cleaning in a sub-2,200 SF house (with kids, so more work).
It’s expensive because we use licensed and bonded people through a cleaning service, and pay about $260 for a team of 2-3 people to spend about 4 hours here. I believe we pay about $65/hour for the team. We try to practice what we preach, so no “illegal” labor if we can avoid it (at least, not that we know of).

Participant
Is this thread some kind of a cruel joke? Sort of like, how much do you pay to have your Ferrari detailed?
lol, I understand the thought.
I still flinch every time we pay it, but then remind myself we work hard so we can play hard. If we didn’t pay a housekeeper, we would spend all our free time cleaning. So instead of work hard play hard it would be work hard work harder.
