We only hire a cleaning service to come out once every year or two to do the really deep cleaning in a sub-2,200 SF house (with kids, so more work).
It’s expensive because we use licensed and bonded people through a cleaning service, and pay about $260 for a team of 2-3 people to spend about 4 hours here. I believe we pay about $65/hour for the team. We try to practice what we preach, so no “illegal” labor if we can avoid it (at least, not that we know of).

lol, I understand the thought.
I still flinch every time we pay it, but then remind myself we work hard so we can play hard. If we didn’t pay a housekeeper, we would spend all our free time cleaning. So instead of work hard play hard it would be work hard work harder.

lol, I understand the thought.
