Seriously, as long as you can get back on target quickly after recoil there is no problem. I think the newer 12 ga.’s don’t kick as much, either, making it even easier to stay on point. The 20 v. 12 debate is akin to the .38 v. .357 debate in my book. Fun to talk about. Chances of anyone making it into my bedroom before the cops arrive is pretty slim, so as far as the stopping power debate goes there is about a zero % chance I will ever find out.
While there are no guarantees, any home security system could scare away potential intruders. Any type of prevention will go along way to reduce the likelihood of a break in, or home assault by a stranger.
