I work for one of the companies there.
From my experience with talking to numerous friends/colleagues out there who have kids,
none of them want to buy a house in SV area although they are OK with buying a condo if they don’t have any kids.
MM n general has a reputation of not having good schools in comparison with Poway/Scripps/PQ etc.
MM schools may be getting better but to change the public perception it would take many years..May 17, 2011 at 10:09 PM #696138fun4vnay2ParticipantI work for one of the companies there.

Which is why comparable homes in SV/MM is $100k-200k cheaper than some of the areas that have better schools. If the schools is as good as those other areas, you would being seeing SV/MM selling for at least the same price as those areas if not more, due to its proximity to high tech jobs. Different people have different priority. I can’t deal w/ having to commute to Poway/Scripps/PQ from SV, while many don’t mind.May 17, 2011 at 10:36 PM #696148anParticipant[quote=dd123]I work for one of the companies there.
