I was afraid this might degenerate into a “dick fight” so no, I’m not going to say what in. It’s none of your f’ing business anyway.
Bwahahahaha…. ringalingalingalingaling… my bullshit detector just went off.
There are only two reasons you wouldn’t say what they’re in: (1) you don’t actually have two doctorates, or (2) they are in some subject that is so far removed from the topic at hand as to be completely and totally irrelevant to your argument.
If you were afraid that “this might degenerate into a dick fight,” then why did YOU bring it up? After all, this is all YOUR doing, “investor.” You’re the one who wanted to claim to be all Mr. Smarty Pants. You. Brought. It. Up. Not me.
I never claimed to be Mr. smarty pants. I was responding to dave from fallbrook’s earlier posting of his academic background, so I didn’t really bring it up, he did. I was debating on defending myself because of it degenerating into this, but at some point you have to take a stand. No bullshit, but I don’t care if you believe me. I was not trained in the world of investing but I have pushed hard to learn it for the past 10 years and I have learned that most of the real stuff in investing is learned on the street/ doing it, not in a classroom and that we ALL spend alot of time investing for our futures with little of us knowing what the heck we are doing. Pity. That is why so many of us loose our shirts when the stock market crashes. We haven’t invested well.October 12, 2010 at 10:57 AM #616469investorParticipant

I was afraid this might degenerate into a “dick fight” so no, I’m not going to say what in. I’ve been posting here for a few years, and have made a lot of sarcastic (and borderline rude) remarks.
Probably a few Piggs have wondered about the jerk with the cryptic handle (which is actually just bunch of arbitrary characters.)
But you are the first to make fun of my name.
So congratulations on being the first person to stoop to such childishness!

Two doctorates, totaling 16 years of collage. But congrates on yours, that is alot of work and you should be proud of them. (I’m not being sarcastic either).
Investor: Okay, I’ve been watching this back and forth with you and Dave (the “real” Dave and not Dave from Fallbrook, whom I’m presuming is one of my long-lost cousins we don’t talk about in the family anymore), and I have to call BS on you.
I work with several PhDs (engineering and physics) and they are all excellent communicators, especially in written form. For you to assert that you hold not one, but two, PhDs and then use “alot” is simply laughable. I’d go into the other grammatical and syntaxical errors, but I don’t have the time.
The other thing I would point out is that one of the intangibles of advanced education, especially doctoral work, is that it should confer a sense of open-mindedness, along with a sense of fair play and respect for the “rules” (empiricism). When confronted with facts that dispute your worldview, you fall back on either ad hominem attacks or these solipsistic gyrations that inevitably lead to ad hominem attacks (such as questioning the disputant’s character, pedigree, etc).
Not the way to properly argue, and it only further erodes your credibility.
My bad. It was you, Allen from Fallbrook, not dave. I guess that makes me a bad person. Yes, you do like to look for typos and extrapolate them into character flaws. That is one of your slimy ways of debating. That erodes you credibility, not mine. As far as open-mindedness, you seem to be defending your accounting ideas(non-CPA I might add) rather than addressing griffin’s book point to point other than saying “he is wrong” because I have said so. You do not know my world view because you have assumed that you know it. Another way that you jump to conclusions, mudding up the discussions in your favor. All I was trying to do was get some people’s opinion on what griffin is saying. I did not write the book but you degraded the earlier discussion into an attack on me. Something that you do in order to silence your opponent. As I said, the earlier investor that you were so rude to left the site, blowing an opportunity to learn from someone who knows a lot more than you do about how money works in the investing world. you also like to say that you were around seal members and other impressive people. That makes you look weak. Don’t reference your friend a seal member unless you are one two. don’t try and boost yourself off of other people’s accomplishments. What are you, 5 foot 6, 260 pounds, pimply and watch porn every night? (My apologies to other civilized readers for my abruptness. With Allen from Fallbrook, you have to resort to this to communicate).your turn.October 12, 2010 at 11:10 AM #616481investorParticipant
