So I helped our pastor and his family of 5 move into a rental in Escondido. Their family is growing so they wanted some extra room. They moved into a Mcmansion over on Douglaston. 4/3 with around 3k sq ft. Nice place, and they were excited because they talked the owner down a few hundred dollars a month in rent.
So they’ve been in the home for just 2 months now and they find out that the home is going into foreclosure and they have to be out by October.
So now they’re in the hunt again for a rental. Is there anything they can do to try to not be put in this situation again? I know about SDLookup.com for purchase info, but not sure how accurate that site is, and perhaps there is a better site. And I think i’ve heard of some sites (here on Pigg) that have tax records…or do you just have to go to the county recorder to get that info?
