There is no difference between:
1) imposing your will on two people’s willful desire to be classified by the government based on their physical attributes
2) imposing your will on where somebody sits on a bus based on their physical attributes
They are the same thing. An arbitrary limitation based on color/sex/shoe size/penis/vagina/hairyness, and endorsed by the government.
Opposing gay marriage is the defacto support of social and economic stratification based on physical attributes. It is no different than saying that asians can’t drive on state freeways. Or that short people can’t be licensed by the state board of real-estate agents.
That position will be found to be unconstitutional at the federal level in due time.

“Marion-
WTF-I would love for you to explain to the 14 year old boy that is tormented/beaten at school how he chose to be gay. Aren’t you a school psychologist or something? VERY SCARY that there are parents like you…how are you teaching your children to be kind and compassionate people? You are what is wrong with today’s society!
Sorry everyone for the harsh words…”
Waiting patiently, my humor can be biting at times. Right now, I’m not counseling a 14-year-old gay boy. I’m interacting with adults on a real estate blog.
I don’t minimize anyone’s pain. When I’m counseling someone in pain, I do everything I can to help them. The gay orientation issue is not as simple as you think; it’s complicated.
For you and others like you who believe homosexuality is something that just happens, when does someone become gay? Is there a “gay gene? If so, what causes it? When does the transformation take place? Is it when we’re 2? 4? Or are we born this way?
I haven’t accepted the theory that the 14-year-old boy who is in a lot of pain because he is gay, feels he is gay, or leads a gay lifestyle was born this way. I don’t believe it’s as simple as that. You have to understand that there are other things beside professional training that influence a person’s beliefs.

May 15, 2008 at 5:14 PM #205191eyePodParticipantI will support gay marriage when they make polygamy, pedophilia, and incest legal for marriage. Other than that, NO. After all, who cares which hole you use, right? It’s none of the governement’s (your) business.
