Interesting. Thanks for that. I was not aware you were different people. P.S. No I was not talking about squatting. My wife likes camping, but I think that might be pushing it.

Once again you assume a lot about who posts and hangs out here. There are many income levels, family types, education levels, and job titles roaming these boards.
Could it be, possibly, that many of us renters were just entering the labor force in the mid to late 90s, and couldn’t possibly afford to buy at the time? Could it be, that as the years rolled by, and the crazy property valuation kept out of pace with our paltry pay increases? Could it also be, that since we saved and invested our money, rather than sell our souls for a liar loan, that we are now actually looking forward to owning in the next few years, on *gulp* a 30 year, fixed rate, 20% down loan, that we actually plan on paying off?
I would not be so quick to rush in where angels fear to tread.

What kind of company are you starting? I'm looking for opportunities right now. I've had the experience of working for a well known local Start Up company in SD (initials are DC) which recently hit the wall and is in serious trouble. I've also had the experience of attempting to bring up my own seed company and developed B-Plans and presented to the Connect group, Fish and Richardson, as well Tech Coast Angels. Didn't work out though. If you're interested, I can possibly relay my personal email address to you and resume via Rich.
Let me know.
JWM thanks for the interest. Three of us are trying to put a tech company together. Yet another mashup idea (between mobile and web). But, no really this company is going to revolutionize the world :).
(I'd settle for this company just paying the bills)
At this point, we're just three geeks trying to get a POC done over the next couple of months. We all have our day jobs, although some have the luxury of sleeping during the day more than others. Funding for this company so far has come from, well, me…with the CFO(wife) approving my time and dollars….although it has been more so time rather than money. At this point we are in really early early stages (like white board crap), and haven't baked everything (or anything) together yet. As soon as we have something more tangible, I'll ping you if you're interested. We're light on the business side right now, so we'll definitely need some people to help out on this moving forward if it goes anywhere. At this point, it's more of 3 geek's hobby than anything else.
I'm getting too old to do this. It takes me so damn long to develop anything these days. If there are an 40iesolds working in software on this board, my hats off to you. I can't imagine keeping up with this when I reach that age.
Things probably would be much more lucrative if I just opened a porn site for mobile phones and called it porn2go.com Oops, hi there honey, I didn't mean that.
