Participantpizzaman…funny..I delivered pizzas in the 70’s for pizzaman.Had more fun doing that till 3:00 in the morn than almost any other job.Where did you live before Hawaii?I moved to Kauai in 91 I think,had kenny Boscoff build me a house in poipu,and had it thrashed during iniki……left there in 96,I really have been pretty excited watching the market up by you,even took one day to look in murietta…not sure I can handle living that far from the ocean breeze….probably buy a shit box here in chula vista next year.

ParticipantOcean — sounds like I missed you by a year or so. My brother and I had the master lease for the buildings in Koloa which we renovated into the shopping center back in 85. Koloa was where I got my start in the Pizza business.
I built a house in Poipu in 1988 (Bayview@Poipu Kai). I still remember the numbers, 90,000 for the lot and 110,000 construction costs for a 2000 sq ft house. Sold it for 275,000 and thought I made a killing. The house only suffered minor damage from the hurricane and the last sale a couple of years ago was 1.5m.
