Family in Chengdu?

Thank you Nostradamus for bringing this up and being so sensitive to the severe crisis on the other side of the globe. It’s times like these that we realize that the issues with finance, stock market, and housing are so trivial when others are losing their lives in such a terrible catastrophy. My deepest thoughts and prayers go out to those who are living this nightmare and their loved ones. I too am glad to hear that our fellow bloggers families are safe!

I know it’s OT, California earthquake probabilities have been consistently high, just curious how many of you would purchase any earthquake insurance (with 10~15% deductible, for peace of mind)? I also wish FEMA would do a better job in reducing loss of life if such a terrible disaster happens here.

Unfortunately, as generous as this country is, the Fed really doesn't have money to be giving out to other countries imho….But individuals like you and me might (Look at it this way, the $500 tax rebate that you received is probably going to end up in china anyway.. might as well be people who really need it 🙂 )
