The thing I don’t like about the greyhounds is that they always look like they haven’t had anything to eat in 5 months.

Here’s my pound puppy. The only animal we’ve actually chose delibrately. We usually wind up with others peoples castoff pets and strays. My vet says I have the hobo cat stamp on my door. It’s nice to see you giving the adoption of pet the careful consideration it deserves.
At one time we actually had 11 rabbits. All of them given to me by people who didn’t want them anymore. People actually had the nerve to ask me “What’s one more?” when I started turning them down. So I said “Fine, how about I give you one?”
Vet bills can be expensive and even if your dog is relatively healthy stuff happens. My dog split his paw pad on the chain link fence and needed stitches. Like I said stuff happens and when it does it’s usually $200 to $300.

June 10, 2008 at 2:19 PM #220900AnonymousGuestPD, thanks for the Greyhound tip. It does sound like it would be a dog that works for me, and you don’t have to do hardly anything as far as grooming. That would be so great. Here is a light tan colored one, but they come in a variety of colors including slate grey, which would be a color I’d prefer if I get one of these dogs.

wickedheart, bugzy is beautiful, is she/he a beagle mix? I have a rabbit story too. When I was a little girl, my parents bought a white rabbit for me from our neighbors. That same week we brought it home, the rabbit gave birth to a lot of babies. My parents were mad and never really forgave the neighbors.
