You wouldn’t kick a loud/roudy kid in first class or in a nice restaurant, you would kick the parent(s) for making that decision.
Don’t blame the dog. Dropkick the dog owner.

Funny when I met her a couple years ago none of those adjectives came to mind other than successful. A few others came to mind but it would set off some filters. Just not a nice person either.

I can’t believe how rude neighbors can be when you video tape them.[/quote]
Surely you understand the difference between a kid eating ice cream and a neighbor who lets their dog crap on your lawn without cleaning it up, right?
Nobody should have to clean up after someone else’s dog, and our kids should not have to step in some imbecile owner’s dog poop just because they are too friggin lazy to clean up after their animals.
It is also against the law 1.) to let your dog poop on someone else’s property and 2.) to not pick it up:
“Nuisance – Dogs are not allowed to defecate or urinate on the property of another. It is the owner’s job to curb the dog and immediately remove any feces to a proper receptacle. San Diego County Code 62.670”
We’ve had the same problem in the past when our kids were very young. Had the same idea as others about saving up all the kid poop (especially the really drippy ones) and depositing on their property, or at least saving up all the dog poop (hopefully, after the maggots were nice and juicy), and then redepositing on neighbor’s property.
Sorry, Matt, you are 100% wrong on this. Leaving dog crap on other people’s property shows a total lack of class and consideration.
PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOGS, PEOPLE!!!!

I really suck at things like this and usually overreact. Try to deal with this on a different level than anger and revenge. If you let this get in your mind than other bad habits of neighbors will start creeping into your head and every little thing will drive you crazy. If you have kids and they see you dump crap on the neighbors yard they will suffer. It sucks (dog poop) but if you use a calm, rationale approach you are much better off. Again, I have learned the hard way, but I have learned…

I’m waiting for old age to catch up. It sort of already is. I think when you start getting older, you just start care less and less about things.
July 13, 2012 at 8:23 AM #747912desmondParticipantNot true at all, where do you think the term “grumpy old man” and the “mid life crisis” etc., came from? It is from little things over time that creep into your mind and you deal with them poorly, usually with anger or revenge. You can always blame somebody else for their bad behavior but you can’t for your own.

Possibly too mean. How about a massive dose of doggie laxative.
July 13, 2012 at 9:23 AM #747914sdduuuudeParticipantI once made a little contraption to keep my own dogs off my lawn. Perhaps this would work for other people’s dogs.
I basically hooked up a normally-open motion detector to my irrigation system.
The challenge is getting the motion detector to trigger when the dogs are on the lawn and not trigger when they are not on the lawn. It’s an imperfect science.
But, if you can get it right, it is very effective. No dog is going to squat while getting sprayed.
That’s a great story, CE !
