Once again, nobody has shown any evidence of an American Tourist killed in Baja..
An American Politician working in Juarez (not Baja) is NOT a good example. Fact is, any politician working in a border city is either directly or indirectly involved with the Drug mafia.
Can anyone show real evidence of tourists being targeted? Or are you just going to keep referencing the State department warnings?

Good info., but obviously some on this board always have to pervert the posts to suit their political agenda. If they think it is safe to go there, I say by all means. In the 60’s we used to drive down there to go to the clubs because the bands were so good. In the 70’s we continued to go there to eat and shop and as previously mentioned, I stopped visiting in the 80’s because it became unsafe to me. It is a beautiful country and the people are definitely likable, but when we arrested the cartel, we definitely changed their paradigm and until the honest people get the upper hand, I am not going back. Nothing there that I cannot buy up here including the food.

August 3, 2010 at 1:44 PM #585862AnonymousGuestAecetia do you really believe that if an American tourist such as you or I were killed or disappeard while visiting Mexico (or any other country) it would not appear in the local news? Are you that dense?
They may under report the number of Mexican drug killings, but no way they can cover up the death or disappearance of a foreign visitor. Try to use your brain..
