Nobody claims that TJ or Northern Baja areas are particularly safe places, the point is that it doesn’t appear to be any more dangerous than before for American tourists.
I think we can all agree that it has always been a little sketchy, especially if you don’t know Spanish or have no experience there.
The people on this board who appear to be petrified to go to TJ are the same people who obviously never spent much time in Baja in the first place. Some of you I suspect have rarely if ever been outside of the U.S.
So unless you actually travel to Mexico such as davel, EJ or others, you are really not qualified to make an opinion on the relative security there. You are simply repeating government/media propaganda.
EJ I am with you on Salsipuedes, never been there when the Point is going but the reef is a blast.
