Tumbles you ever find anything? i have been waiting for new listings to pop up in the area, but looks like that is not going to happen. im thinkin of just doing another viewing of all the homes in that 700-1m range and especially since mortage rates are still fairly reasonable. there was a listing that closed escrow today in del cerro, and it was about $290 square foot-prices holding up well it seems.

So I think that closing is evidence that home prices are stepping down, but the steps are slow when so few houses actually sell. Compared to anything that closed in the last two years, it was a pretty good deal.
(and why are all you also shopping here! go buy in Carmel Valley or something. I want to be the only well qualifed housing vulture looking in this area!)

January 31, 2008 at 11:03 AM #146087poway_sellerParticipantwhy am i looking here? same reason as you very likely… CV is a rat race, and del cerro is actually a really quaint, family oriented tight neighborhood. if we’re looking in the same price range and house style, then you and i are looking at just a few available homes (there arent more than 5 or so in the 750-900 range). just stay away from the ones I’ve got my eye on π
