So, you don’t believe in holistic medicine? Are there no studies showing how mental and emotional health affect physical health?
To say that this is a “cosmetic procedure” speaks volumes, IMHO.
See, that’s what socialist sytems understand. They don’t need as much of the expensive treatments and technologies because they treat the whole person. They tend to have superior aftercare and follow-up assistance that is focused on *healing* the patient and making them better.
In our system, we fill people up with expensive, toxic drugs and perform lots of expensive, invasive treatments, then we throw them out onto the street (often the same day!), with drains and pressure bandages…and lots of narcotics, and expect them to take care of themselves. In Europe, they tend to have longer hospital stays and follow-up/home care…AND they still manage to have lower healthcare costs than we do!
Sorry, our for-profit healthcare system absolutely sucks! There is absolutely no proof that our system is better than a socialist system; quite the contrary, as a matter of fact. Thank God people are finally starting to wake up and see through the capitalist brainwashing and hype.
Healthcare is a much more valuable right than the rights of capitalists to make obscene profits at sick people’s expense.
