Guestwhoa hold on everyone, geez- I was asking a question not saying that people don’t deserve healthcare (next time I will use ?).
I am in favor of healthcare coverage for all, I just don’t understand how this bill is going to make that happen.
So let me try again:
If the ones without coverage today and cannot afford coverage today, how does this bill make it more affordable in the future?March 5, 2010 at 1:05 PM #521486Anonymous

ParticipantIf the ones without coverage today and cannot afford coverage today, how does this bill make it more affordable in the future?
Excellent question – short answer, this bill will not help anyone except the insurance companies. In that respect it will be the same as all of our other legislation, its only benefit will be to the most well-connected, largest corporations.
Back to work, slaves!

If the ones without coverage today and cannot afford coverage today, how does this bill make it more affordable in the future?[/quote]Not addressing this bill in particular.
But we can make it affordable by covering everyone and lowering the cost of health care.
People who are not covered now how get sick end up in emergency rooms for very expensive end of life treatment when preventive treatment would have kept them healthy productive members of society.
We now have a whole class of people are chronically sick but can’t afford preventive care. So they just wait until they are about to drop before they enter the emergency rooms.
We also need legislation to curb unnecessary medical services. For people who are covered, medical costs need to be fully disclosed to them so that they are aware of the costs they are incurring.
