Have you tried SDR and sdrealtor here?
I haven't met them personally, but both seem pretty reputable, and appear to be pretty straightforward from what I see they say here. At least I don't think they will say the "this is hot, and sold in 2 weeks" when it was listed since 2007 bullsh!t as described in the previous thread.
I have a friend who is also an agent, but she might be in taiwan on a 2 year vacation though. Let me check. She's been an agent for i think 20+ years, and last time I checked, she said she wasn't going to try to kill herself convincing people to buy in this market. Warning, she's pretty blunt about things, which can be good and bad. I at one point got into a yelling match with her, because she made a comment about how terrible a home was in Palacio that I was looking at with the mold, mildew, and exorbitant hoa fees. I thought she was just trying to persuade me into buying another home for which she was the listing agent. She claimed that since I was looking in the same price range, that I should consider her listing anyway. I think I was biased because I always felt an agent that handles both side of the transaction would be a bad thing….Eventually didn't buy in Palacio…. and I wished I had bought the home she was trying to sell, because even today the offering price was a steal for that home since the owner needed to sell quickly for a relocation out of the country….The home ended up selling at a deal, and included a baby grand piano because he couldn't move it.
