I am not recommending their service, as I have no experience with them, nor do I know anyone who does.

March 16, 2008 at 10:01 PM #171623AnonymousGuestIf the property is located in CA, AZ, OR, or WA there are special anti-deficiency laws and protection for homeowners. There are other states with protections as well, just not as good as the previous mentioned states. If you call me tomorrow, I or one of our advocates can go over the specifics with you.

The lender has no recourse to any other assets of the borrower. If money was borrowed after the home was purchased, such as in a home equity line of credit withdrawal, or in a refinancing of the original purchase loan, then the lender can go after the borrower for any deficiency in the home’s value versus the debt.
