I used to use Quicken, but then heard of this company that just received second round financing. (www.mint.com) I have used it for about 3 months. It does everything that I used to use Quicken for, but adds a bunch of features like text message alerts that alert you when you are getting close to or have exceeded your limits on any given category. It sorts transactions intelligently, so after a few weeks of training it runs itself.
Is free,supported by sponsors on one tab of the site where they will recommend competing services to those you already use (i.e. internet,phone etc.) that are at a lower cost than what you currently spend. Its very unobtrusive. Honestly, I don’t even notice unless I am looking for it.
