On my most recent trip to LA I figured I might as well take a few photos. Posting images using Drupal is a pain, so here’s the link to a Picasa/Google album for those that are interested in more of what’s below. (You housebubble crackheads, you know who you are.)
Enjoy.
Builder Billboard Blowout!

Trouble in Temecula|desc=The 40 miles between Temecula and Norco on highway I-15 boasts about 30 billboards in each direction for new housing developments. This photo is from the I-15 at the northern end of Temecula, with all the real estate billboards circled. |link=node|align=left|width=400|height=300]

Not!|desc=Murrieta. Not! If these Pacific Oaks models next to I-15 in Murrietta were NOW SELLING, they wouldn’t need so many signs, flags, or to offer a 4% broker coop. The houses are priced in the mid-$500K range. Instead of advertising the broker’s cut, why not just reduce the price about $30K? Also, all these walled-in developments are total graffiti magnets. The HOAs must spend a lot on paint.|link=node|align=left|width=400|height=300]

F@cked in Fallbrook|desc=The giant red and white sign at the bottom of the valley says NEW HOMES. Drivers on I-15 can barely see it — I could only get the photo by driving up old Hwy 395, getting out of the car and walking up a berm. Maybe they are marketing to people in airplanes. Homes here go for about $500K for a 3 bedroom house.|link=node|align=left|width=400|height=300]
