It’s isn’t always about the money, but this time it is. How is the extra taxes going to be spent? I haven’t seen anything compelling to indicates differently, if at all just more spending. Sure, give more money to “the middle class”. How are they going to spend it? Buy more goods from walmart and send it overseas? Yeah, that’s going to benefit society. Show me a social program and a definite financial plan to back that social program exclusively, sure I’m on board. But you know and I know that that’s not gonna happen.
Politicians are all the same. They’re all paid and bought for. The best government is the one in capable of deciding how to spend pork.
