I’ve heard CP often as I work in Carlsbad. I rarely hear it in Temecula, but do occasionally.
The other day there was a huge boom and it wasn’t artillery. Parts of the house rattled that I never heard rattle before. The first thought that came to my mind was a sonic boom.

March 5, 2009 at 9:58 AM #360610dharmagirlParticipantDjc,
We heard the same thing! I also think it was a sonic boom.
jmrobbie, I dont have children – well, unless you count my husband…
If I were you, I would create a separate thread just in case everyone has stopped reading this one.
I can try to find out more about the situation…I know a number of people in this community who are “plugged in” re local information.
Just let me know. Are you still looking at this area as a prospective home? If you have have any questions, my email is [email protected]

They required the builders to build the schools before the houses, both wolf creek and morgan built an elementary school recently. Both developments slowed or stopped building so the school is only half full. Also, the demographics are slightly changing as a result of the foreclosures, many families with lots of little kids are being replaced by older people with older kids or semi retirees with kids on their own and people without kids. Redhawk and Jackson are older schools and the surrounding neighborhoods are 10-20 years old, so there are fewer elementary school aged kids, they are keeping the other three open. The 30k people that live south of the 79 dont really need 5 elementary schools in a three mile radius right now. They get credit for planning ahead and for making the devlopers pay the tab, but things changed as did the demographics of the new arrivals, there are a lot more people like dharma making their way here.
