The Democrats and Republicans are the establishment. The establishment failed us.
But still within the establishment, there’s proportional guilt; and, for sure, the largest share of guilt belongs to the Republicans.
Guest
. There is still no oversight. And, aside from what Elizabeth Warren is doing, there is no consumer protection reform.
I absolute agree with all that you’ve said, especially in regard to Elizabeth Warren.
My dilemma is which party to support. I can’t possibly vote for Republicans.
I agree that Democrats kiss up to big money also. But they don’t blatantly do it the way Republicans do.
At least we have some (not enough but some) consumer protection and some financial reform.
http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-executive-pay-20110529,0,4761118.column?track=rssI’m not enamored with our capitalist system where money runs everything. But it is what it is; and we must swim with the sharks, or sink.
Also, money is not everything, there are social issues to consider.
Yes, Democrats were complicit with Republicans in causing the 2008 financial crisis. But Republicans and the private bankers, who took advantage of the system to enrich themselves, bear a much greater share of the blame.
In our two-party political system, Democrats are clearly the best choice.
