“ZK, your liberal sentiment only causes more problems in society.”
What liberal sentiment is that? And specifically what problems do sentiments such as mine cause?
In fact I will track it down for you.
I’ve already tried, and I don’t think it exists.
I just don’t think America is ready for Obama.
Obviously I disagree, but either way I don’t see how our opinions about whether America is ready are relevant. Either it is or it isn’t and we’ll find out in November.
Obama just doesn’t have the experience necessary to lead this country.
That is a valid concern. His lack of experience is, in my opinion, his biggest drawback. On the other hand, I believe the fact that he actually listens to people who do have experience (as opposed to our current president, who doesn’t seem to ever listen to anybody or anything except his gut) will combine with his apparent (to me) willingness and ability to look at things in a new way and result in exactly the type of leadership this country needs right now.
I’m off to the gaslamp then the Cubs game. Hasta manana, amigos.

June 4, 2008 at 4:29 PM #216895DuckParticipantI find it funny that George W Bush, who has been handed everything in his life, is assumed to have been more “experienced” than Obama as a Presidential nominee. All I know is that Obama is definitely smarter than either Bush or McCain. He can apparently motivate and lead an organization better than either of them based on his record setting fund raising and campaign, and of course he had the good sense to see that the Bush War initiative was ridiculous.

June 4, 2008 at 4:43 PM #216912afx114ParticipantExperience? Experience is overrated. Especially in a change election.
Abraham Lincoln only had 2 years experience in the House of Representatives – about the same experience Obama has had in the Senate. Lincoln seemed to do just fine, despite the fact that the nation was tearing apart at the seams.

June 4, 2008 at 9:32 PM #217031CardiffBaseballParticipantYou know the Che flag is a real turn-off and ticks me off. I was leaning towards none of the above, but something tells me every freak crack-pot out there who’s had to sit out most national elections, has finally found a nice smile, and smooth talker to “represent”. At least Bill Clinton could bring back Reagan Democrats.
I would totally support Obama if the GOP had held the white house, but I am a little queasy about the central planners running amok.
