Yes and a great deal of the money spent on SS and Medicare is pissed away on the beauracy employed by the government to administer it.
They should privatize the distribution of SS and Medicare. Let some big Insurance company bid on taking over the paperwork and FIRE all the worthless, overpaid federal employees who piddle around all day acting like they are working.
