I agree that the republicans have made it possible for the far left to potentialy take total control over the government. They have drifted so far from traditional republican views that they are more democrat than republican. Out of control spending, weak on illegal immigration and border control and expansion of government.
Unfortunately it is going to take 4 yrs of Obama to send a clear wake up call to not only the republican party but for the general population as well.I just hope Obama and the far left have not done too much damage that can not be repaired.
The 75% of the current republican senators and congress need to be replaced with more “traditional” republicans. They have strayed way too far from the fiscal conservatism of the past. They have really fu$#ed things up.
One party having complete control is a very scary concept, and with the Dems leaning so far left it makes it a potential nightmare.
Our government is a series of checks and balances. If one party, regardless of which one, controlls all wings of government, then their is no check or balance. I dont care if the Republicans F’d things up, that doesnt keep the democrats from doing the same or worse. Until we have a viable third party, or until the republicans return to their roots, our “republicratic” oligopoly will continue to operate without checks and balances. Personally, it makes me very sad, and very disappointed in the voting public.
