Oh……………That is right, Glen Beck says so…… since it is happening under Obama’s watch it is ALL his fault since he is a Kenyan and a Communist as well as a Terrorist sympathiser.Meanwhile, Cuba, economically and socially insignificant remains the bogeyman.[/quote]
Let’s see from a historical perspective.
Nixon recognized Communist China in 1971 and turned America’s back on Taiwan.
Carter’s presidency was spent fighting the inflation brought on by Vietnam War debt.
Clinton’s presidency was spent cutting the deficit to the point we had a surplus.
How did China become so strong as to become our bankers? The Republicans mismanaged the economy.
I know that there’s more to it but
the people in Kansas who listen to Beck and Limbaugh don’t really understand that politics and economics are complicated matters.Allan, thanks for the book recommendation. I’ve put
The Great Game on my list.Do you want to start a book club? I’m willing to read and share comments.

October 1, 2009 at 9:34 AM #462752masayakoParticipantCommunist China? The real China is now Capitalism.
Communism is just a make-believe for the poor guys to spend the lives working their socks off for the upper class Chinese.
If you want on the streets on any major Chinese cities, ask anyone about their point of view of Communist. They would go: “Communism?!! What the fuck. Nobody’s care about this. It’s all about making money, dude.“
