Jim Bunning, Republican senator of KY, is blocking extension of unemployment benefits.
We can’t help out the unemployed who will quickly spend the money into the economy. But we can give $8,000 gifts to home buyers who have jobs and bailout the banks.
Something sounds very wrong here. Yes, we know who is getting thrown under the bus.

I haven’t read what he’s proposing blocking, but in California it’s amazing. A friend of mine just received another extension – which will take her to 2 years of unemployment benefits. She loves it. They file the extensions automatically for her. Until the benefits come to an end, she has no reason to find a job. If they decided to block her extension of benefits, I don’t see how she could argue that she was being thrown under the bus.
