I say, create your own bailout! Rise up against the banking tyrants and cease paying your mortgage! As a Christian you have no duty to allow yourself to be cheated, but you do have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice![/quote]
Well I’m betting Hitler is a new moniker for an existing Pigg, so it appears that said Pigg did not want to be associated with above statement.
But this does give me a chance to say something I’ve thought about for some time.
When did we become a nation of sniveling whiners? Why do those who did not get caught up in this, and thus did not end up underwater, feel they are owed something?
That thought ocurred to me when the Texas Idiot who crashed his plane into the bldg said something about his lack of bailout.
It is especially distressing is that most people misuse the word “bailout”, especially when talking about the auto industry, to mean monetary GIFT when in fact the companies are PAYING THAT MONEY BACK. It is a LOAN, not a gift.
While I’m on a rant, let’s mosey on over to the Global Warming topic. Another term the public is severely misusing. Most people equate “Global Warming” to “Human-Induced Global Warming Through Human-Induced Atmosphere Changes”. Not the same thing at all. I believe the globe is indeed warming a bit (this was predicted long ago by looking a global averages over CENTURIES – we were due a warm streak) but I still don’t believe much if any of it is human-induced.
Finally, I’m not sure if by “As a Christian” you were assuming that all Piggs are Christians, or if you were only speaking the the Christian subset of Piggs. For the record, I am not now nor have I ever been a Christian, despite my parent’s best attempts.

I pay taxes – the govt is handing out my tax money to undeserving people – I’d like to have my share of my tax money back as well, thank you very much
reverse the question: “Why do people who made stupid financial decisions think they are owed something other than a hard lesson?”

February 28, 2010 at 9:12 AM #519054peterbParticipantAnd so it goes. Nothing like being unemployed to “alter” your thinking about what’s fair and just. Especially when the govt is clearly deciding who gets thrown under the bus and who gets a free pass.
