Well, I don’t like to be so hyperbolic and cruel as to call someone a mental patient. But it’s seemed obvious to me for quite some time the bg has some kind of emotional desire to steer people in a certain direction, and that that desire sometimes results in her giving advice that has no basis in reality. I’d avoid the subject altogether, but I agree with you, Dave, that it’s important for people who come to this forum for advice to understand who’s giving clear-thinking, unbiased advice and who’s giving advice that reflects the personal issues that they have.
FWIW to you, zk, I’ve never resided north of I-8, so would have no propensity to steer anyone in a “certain direction.” OTOH, your “friend,” sdr, here, steers anyone and everyone who can read to his “gridlocked nirvana,” talking it up as if he works for the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, even if the commute will be mind-numbingly crushing for them. The only reason he hasn’t steered this OP there is because his beloved “turf” is out of his/her price range.
Perhaps you are not reading the OP’s current commute and desires here. He/she currently has zero commute and resides within an excellent school attendance area. Those were his/her main criteria. What’s not to understand?
Oh, and I don’t have any “personal issues” with MR because I myself have never paid any. However, I’ve seen more than a handful of homeowners lose their homes in part over these extra charges.
