you don’t need a “fat pipe” for online gaming…but a fast connection is a big benefit. Just try playing a FPS game on a dial-up and you’ll quickly see how important your speed is to the gaming experience. “He was right in the middle of my cross-hairs when i shot him…why isn’t he dead!” Well, because he wasn’t really where your computer said he was…your computer was giving you outdated information (by just a fraction of a second, but still outdated)…so actually he wasn’t in your cross-hairs when you fired the weapon…he was a few feet to the left…and now he’s right next to you…and now he’s stabbed you in the back with his knife…now you’re dead…wow, this isn’t that fun…I’m going back to Zork.
