Yes, they were most competitive compared to 4-5 Costo Lending Tree people (cash card isn’t worth it); Citimortgage (prior lender); MissionFCU & other local mortgage brokers.
HUD closing costs were not discrepant from GFE which is not always the case – several years ago I got burned by final closing costs!
SDCCU will require you to open $400. checking acct. ($350. non-refundable for home inspection; $50. for acct) –
non-issue since I closed with them.
