It’s not even pennies on the dollar, it’s small fractions of a penny on the dollar, and the inspection report contains information that potentially could make a huge impact on your understanding of the true value of the thing you’re about to buy. Things like: is the slab cracked, are the floor joists rotting away, is there evidence of black mold, is the electrical panel a fire hazard, is the construction, shoddy, was the plumbing made with that infamous exploding plastic pipe, etc.
