Yes, from the video he explained the composition and the process through the liver and so I understand sugar and HFCS is the same. I guess that HFCS is used more b/c it is so cheap. Back in the day, the cost of sugar limited how much you would use.
And I agree, the government subsidzing the corn industry doesn’t give much incentive to change any of this, which is probably why the FDA considers HFCS as GRAS. A lot of money would be lost otherwise.
