While I am at it, if any of you wise, wise folks here have advise more specific to our journey, I would love to hear it.
We are a couple in our 40’s, no kids (so no school district issues), work from home (so no commute but that requires a house with more rooms or even a separate bldg), love to garden/organic farm (which requires a bit of land, would love an acre but could do with half an acre), and love the water.
We are first time home buyers, and I believe we probably qualify for some programs due to that fact and our income which seems to fall within the parameters for CalHFA
Do you think it is wise for us to go the CalHfa route?
Are there other programs out there that we should pursue?
And again, I am open to a pile of cash or open to being given a house or whatever (want to be open to all possibilities as we manifest our reality).
