That’s a philosophical question. Will the earth live on after I die? If it ends when I die, then that’s when this madness will end. When the human species dies off, will the same madness live on in another species? Hard to tell.
You can be guaranteed that the madness that we see today will continue as long as you live, Mark. Is that good enough?
I too am disgusted at the two-facedness of almost everyone involved. No one was protesting and changing laws when homeowners were reaping huge gains in excess of their loans on the upswing. Are we going back now to claw back all those realized bubble gains on RE sales? It’s total hypocrisy.
