Well, ocrenter, the “East County meth problem” was tackled with a vengeance over 15 years ago and nearly eradicated thanks to the multi-agency “meth strike force.” The problem was NOT concentrated in the (Granite Hills) area we are discussing here. It was concentrated in Harbison Canyon, Lakeside and beyond.
Since some of the links you provided weren’t very recent, I’ll post some more recent ones here. Of course, this type of “data-diving” can be done for anywhere, but let’s start with that *newer* far-flung, “affordable” and “idyllic” place to raise a family, shall we?
