We fully expected that our home may depreciate by as much as 15%-20% in the next 12-18 months before getting better, but we’re OK, since we’re planning to live here for at least 5-10 years. However now it seems that the market has stabilized. New phase of Canopy Park is selling briskly, as I’ve heard. There are 2 new homes (both Plan 1) left in Stoney Creek but looks like StanPac is not willing to drop price. I guess they’re pretty confidence about the market getter better soon.
Today is the hottest day since we moved in. Temp at the Trolley Square was 96F at around noon. However when we got home, the interior temp was a cool 71F and it actually got hotter only after we opened some windows for ventilation (hot air blew in) but the max was still a tolerable and no A/C required 75F. These windows are truly energy efficient, with SGHC of 0.28 and U-Value of about 2 W/mK.
