Thomas Jefferson….even before he drafted the Declaration of Independence at 33, could “calculate an eclipse, survey an estate, tie an artery, plan an edifice, try a cause, break a horse, dance a minuet and play the violin,” to say nothing of being an informed parliamentarian, a collector of manuscript laws, an author of a revolutionary tract, a craftsman in metal, a creative pioneer in archeology and an organizer of plans for improving the navigation of a river.
