Our living expenses were much less than today but we had to work our asses off doing (often physical) jobs that today’s millenials would balk at. And there wasn’t any “telecommuting,” LOL. We punched a time clock (even in and out for “lunch”) all the way up to 1990 …. yeah, even working for the “gubment.”
