The public would complain if you gave each of them a bag of diamonds. Bernanke, for all the carping, is doing what the public wants – providing lots of easy money. It won’t take much to get him reappointed. He was probably just told he needs to do some of his own marketing because Larry wasn’t volunteering for the duty!
