the fair is a great way to see the cross section of ppl in San Diego. our social circle generally run tight with like minded folks that are our peers in occupation and social status. the fair forces us to break out of that circle and experience the public at large.
unfortunately, the picture isn’t pretty. I knew obesity is an epidemic. but the degree of which that is truly out there out in the general public at large is unreal. I know for most piggs it is quite unpleasant. but every year you should make it a point to go out there just to see what the rest of San Diego look like.
